One-shot Group (Ages 6 and Above) and Private Lessons (All Ages)
We offer daily group snowboard and ski lessons for adults and children (ages six and above) at 10 AM and 1 PM every Saturday and Sunday (and weekdays, too, during special school vacation hours). If you are renting gear, please arrive 45 minutes prior to the lesson time. Sorry, we can not make any exceptions for 5 year olds in our group lessons. The cost of the group lesson (lift ticket included) is TBD for a child or student and TBD for an adult (rental not included). Preregistration is not required--just show up. Private lessons (for all ages) may be arranged by calling the instructor directly: Barbara Ann Cochran (453-5014), Sue Carpenter (434-4548), or Lydia Kenney (999-7376). For private lessons, please call several days in advance if you can, to guarantee the availability of an instructor. The cost for a private one-hour lesson (lift ticket included) is TBD. Rentals are an additional $15.
Racing & Training with Cochran's Ski Club:
From the free Sunday Lollipop races to the Cochran’s Ski Club, the spirit of our mentor Mickey Cochran lives in the slalom gates on our hill. Our philosophy is that training and competition in an enjoyable atmosphere is the key to success and improvement. Coaching and competitive opportunities are available by purchasing a Cochran's Season Pass and paying Ski Club dues.
Lollipop Races:
Every Sunday at 1:00! Young skiers don racing bibs for a free lollipop and a fun zip down the Mighty Mite hill. Free with the purchase of a youth lift ticket ($14). Join in on an Olympic tradition--Make your first race a Cochran's race!
After School Program:
A ten week program consisting of weekly two and a half hour sessions. The program is run by community volunteers and coordinated through the elementary schools in neighboring towns. A curriculum, training for instructors and lift passes for all participants are provided at an affordable price. Rental skis, boots and poles are also available at a reduced rate. Scholarship opportunities are available for those in need.
Other programs (Williston, Starksboro, Orchard Valley & Hinesburg), please check with school coordinator for details.
