Thank you skiers, riders, racers, volunteers, and staff for a great 2008-2009 season! We are closed for the season (sigh). From all of us at Cochran's, thank you for the generosity, enthusiasm, fun, financial support, helpful hands, and inspirational skiing & riding you all brought to the hill. Have a great summer!
End of Season Pot-luck Party: All staff, volunteers, and Cochran's die-hards are encouraged to gather at 6:00 this Saturday, March 28. We'll have lost & found give-aways, snack bar scrounging, silly awards, and a feast of whatever pot-luck goodies you bring. See you there!

Welcome to Cochran's Ski Area |
|
The Cochran family opened their first rope tow in 1961 to provide skiing for their children and neighboring kids during the week. Since then the backyard training area has grown into a challenging ski area with expanded lifts and slopes. But the love and thrill of downhill skiing that started the Cochran's on the road to World Cup and Olympic competition still permeates the Cochran Ski Area, the downhill ski area with the cross-country atmosphere. Friendly people, interesting skiing. Cochran's Ski Area, Inc. is the nation's first 501(c)3 not-for-profit ski area. Donations help ensure the future of this community resource. We introduce skiing to over 800 local children every year. Fund raising events like the 5th Annual Cochran 100 Bike enable us to keep our prices affordable so every child can have the opportunity to ski or ride. "Cochran's: Close to Home" |
